The Shiny Awards return to London this autumn, bringing together the commercial production community for an evening celebrating exceptional emerging directing talent from around the world.

Open to directors globally, the awards invite bold short-form work across commercials, music videos, documentary, animation and narrative. Selected films will screen in London to an audience of producers, creatives and industry decision-makers.

As with every Shiny event, diversity remains central: at least 70% of the work screened will be directed by filmmakers from under-represented backgrounds.

We’re inviting submissions from emerging directors worldwide.

All films must be under five minutes.

All genres are welcome.

Work should demonstrate originality, craft and a distinctive creative voice.
